What are the reasons and the solutions for the dark circles under eyes?

Reasons of dark circles

The dark hollows under the eyes can be caused by a variety of factors. One common cause is the thinning of the skin in that area, which can make the blood vessels underneath more visible. Another cause can be the accumulation of melanin, the pigment responsible for skin color, in that area. Lack of sleep, dehydration, and genetics can also contribute to the appearance of dark hollows under the eyes.

Solutions for the area

Dermal fillers compensate the loss of volume in the under-eye area and provide a healthier image. After the under-eye filler application, the under-eye looks smoother and brighter.

What are the other options?

Some people have darker under the eyes because the skin has more pigments; this is called hyperpigmentation. Hyperpigmentation problem cannot be solved by only dermal fillers. Certain creams, lasers, or IPL may help reduce hyperpigmentation in the area.

Other reason of the dark circles under  eyes is that the area has hypervascularisation, means the area contains an excessive capillaries. Treatments such as IPL may have an effect on vascular issues.
